Conceived by Uber co-founder Garrett Camp, Aero began as a software platform to simplify the booking process of private jets, aiming to become the “Uber for jets”. Tapping into growing frustration around the commercial air travel experience, the Aero business model evolved as a solution to bridge the gap between private charter flights and first-class airfare with “semi-private” flights. Aero launched with scheduled service between Mykonos and Ibiza, becoming the first to fly directly between the two islands.
In 2021, we recognized a similar opportunity to provide beyond-first-class flights connecting travelers to coveted leisure destinations in North America. We established our flagship private terminal at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, and launched nonstop scheduled flights year-round to Aspen and Los Cabos, with seasonal flights to Sun Valley.
Most recently, we introduced transcontinental flights between Los Angeles and New York City, the only nonstop flight between Aspen and New York City, and weekly service from Los Angeles to Maui. The addition of Gulfstream IV-SP business jets to our fleet marks an exciting moment in our history and sets a new standard in semi-private aviation—delivering a highly sophisticated travel experience unmatched on the market.
A profound dedication to hospitality has led us to partner with award-winning hotel brands in each of our destinations, offering our guests exclusive travel packages. Aman New York, Four Seasons Resort Maui, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills are just a few of the one-of-a-kind properties we’ve cultivated relationships with. As we look to the future, we will continue to deliver an unmatched guest experience, pushing the boundaries of hospitality and air travel.
